It seems as though the animation studio Laika is working on a DC Comics movie, which might be a Batman film, and it looks like it’ll be released in 2024. This news comes to us via Reddit.
Laika is one of my very favourite movies studios, period. I’ve loved every single one of their films. They haven’t made that many. The main reason why that is the case is because it takes them years to make one film.
They work in stop motion which is hugely time-consuming, which is why they take a long time to make one movie. The films they’ve made are Coraline, Paranorman, The Box Trolls, Kubo And The Two Strings and Missing Link.

It’s now been revealed via a user on Reddit that Laika is working on two films, one of them will be a new untitled film, reportedly scheduled for release in 2023. The other film, the user reveals will be a Batman movie and it’ll be released in 2024.
So, it sounds like Warner Bros. Pictures have licensed out the Batman property to Laika so that they can make a movie involving the Dark Knight. I love the idea of seeing an animated Batman movie made by Laika.
If they’re making it, then it’ll be stop motion and I really cannot wait to see what Laika does with the character. Most of their movies are made for kids, yet they are often quite dark and explore more mature themes. Just watch Paranorman and Coraline in order to understand what I’m talking about.
