So, this would be strange but not unexpected if it were to happen. There are rumours that Marvel Studios’ President, Kevin Feige, is considering leaving his current job and replacing Kathleen Kennedy as head of Lucasfilm.
This would be a pretty massive shakeup if it were to happen, but before you all start to lose your respective minds in both excitement and worry, this news doesn’t come from the most reliable of sources.
It was reported by We Got This Covered that this could happen and that Feige is contemplating the move.
However, We Got This Covered’s track record isn’t the greatest. That said, they do sometimes get things right, and this could be one of them.
There’s been talk of replacing Kathleen Kennedy for quite some time now, and I’m not mad about the idea.
People tend to forget that she’s the reason why these new Star Wars movies and TV shows are being made in the first place.
There’s also the fact that these new Star Wars properties, on the whole, are pretty darn good.
I loved Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, The Rise Of Skywalker and Rogue One.
Would Kevin Feige make a good Star Wars film?

I genuinely think that The Last Jedi is going to be seen for the masterpiece it is in a few years time.
I even thought there were good things about Solo and I enjoyed The Mandalorian.
So, yes, I think Kennedy’s done a great job in ensuring Star Wars be thrust back into the public eye.
However, there’s no doubting Feige’s ability to create great things, and he would make an excellent replacement should Kennedy decide to leave.
She’s still under contract, so it would be up to her if she were to step aside and allow someone else to take the lead.
There’ve also been rumours that Jon Favreau might be up for the job should it become available.
Who would you like to see take charge of Lucasfilm? Would you like to see Kevin Feige take control of the Star Wars franchise?
