There were rumours making the rounds suggesting that Chris Evans will be returning to the MCU as Captain America, yet Kevin Feige has just claimed it’s not happening.
The Marvel President revealed this during a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.
I’m pretty surprised to hear him say this because the news that Chris Evans was going to be returning to the MCU did come from one of the main trades.
It was Deadline that reported that Evans would be returning as Captain America, but it looks like it’s not happening.
Then again, Feige’s comments weren’t entirely definite.
He likes to keep us guessing, yet he did state that Chris Evans had already said that it wasn’t happening.
That said, what Evans said was that the rumour was news to him in a tweet.
He didn’t flat out deny the report, so I’m very, very confused.

So, what did Kevin Feige say exactly during his recent interview with Entertainment Weekly? Here’s what he said:
I rarely answer no to anything anymore because things are always surprising me with what happens, but that rumour, I think, was dispelled rather quickly by the man himself.
Feige actually revealed this during an interview with was about The Falcon And The Winter Soldier.
Therefore, he might have been talking about the rumours that Chris Evans was going to be returning as Cap in that Disney Plus show.
