After 14 years, The Kardashian-Jenner family announced that they will be ending their notorious reality television show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians (KUWTK).
This news came to many people through Instagram and Twitter, as members of the family posted a text post announcing their decision.

“It is with heavy hearts that we’ve made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years,” Kim Kardashian wrote.
It is undeniable that the show is an iconic piece of America entertainment– whether you were entranced by Scott Disick’s witty comments and BDE or the wild antics of Kris Jenner, or maybe it was the endless feuds between the three eldest Kardashian sisters, Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney.
To commemorate, here are five memorable moments from the show’s long legacy.
“Kim, There’s People That Are Dying”

Rewinding back to 2011, season six of Keeping Up With the Kardashians: While on a vacation to Bora Bora, Kim dived into the ocean and lost her diamond earring.
She filmed coming out of the water in a black and nude dress crying and frantically looking around. Momager Kris Jenner tried to comfort her– “that’s why we have insurance, honey.”
When Kourtney comes to the scene and inquires about what’s wrong, she is completely unfazed by the situation and responded, “Kim, there’s people that are dying.”
This quickly became a widespread meme and quotable moment from the show, finding its way into everybody’s mental keepsake of popular culture!
Kim Hitting Khloe With Her Purse
This scene comes from a 2009 episode of the show in which Kim purchases a Bently. Throughout the episode, Kourtney and Khloe make comments about Kim bragging about her new car.
After overhearing Khloe talk bad about her at a family dinner, Kim arrives and Khloe tries to push the front door closed on her.
Entering the room, Kim repeatedly hits Khloe with her purse while saying, “Don’t be fu**ing rude.”
Ironically enough, the Jonas Brothers recreated the scene at the beginning of this year– over 10 years after the episode originally aired.
Khloe screaming “liar” at her phone
The trailer for season 16 of KUWTD latched on to the latest Kardashian drama– Khloe’s husband cheating on her with Kylie Jenner’s (now ex-)best friend, Jordyn Woods. The trailer featured a clip of Khloe yelling “liar” at her phone as the video becomes saturated with a red filter.

This trailer drew in many new fans and the general reception of the trailer was favourable.
People were seen saying things along the lines of, “I’ve never watched this show before, but I’m going to tune in for the Khloe drama!”
“Kim, would you stop taking pictures of yourself? Your sister’s going to jail.”
This is one of the funniest lines on the show said by Kris Jenner. In 2007, Khloe was on her way to jail for violating her probation and skipping out on her roadside clean-up obligations.
While the family was packed into the car, driving Khloe to serve her 30-day sentence, Kim was seen taking selfies during the entire journey.
Funny enough, years later Kim Kardashian uploaded the images onto her website.
Despite being now-deleted, they are easy to track down as Cosmopolitan magazine (and many others) made sure to feature them on their publication and cement them into history.
I just found all of the selfies I took while driving @khloekardashian to jail!!!!! Do u remember that episode!!!!

Last, but not least:
“Is that a chicken?”

In a 2016 deleted scene, Kris Jenner called Kylie Jenner downstairs while swaddling a baby pig. Kylie retreats down the stairs, excitingly asking, “Is that a chicken?” when it was very clearly a pig.
Recently, she reflected on this moment with E! News explaining, “For my housewarming gift I said, ‘Mom, I really want a chicken. That’s all I want. I want one chicken for my housewarming gift.’”
Explanation aside, it is still a hilarious mix-up!

Keeping Up With the Kardashians was packed with hilarity and drama. Many viewers are left sadly contemplating what comes next. Some speculate that Kris Jenner has to have an idea for something bigger and better.
On the day the news was announced, writer Sam Styker tweeted an image of Kris Jenner with the caption, “Kris Jenner trying to figure out how to file for unemployment.”

But at Small Screen, we don’t think that’s the case. Kris Jenner is definitely conjuring up a new project– or maybe she’ll be a new cast member for Real Housewives. What a dream! Nevertheless, things are very unconfirmed and this is all speculation.
The three eldest siblings and Kylie have children and their own businesses, perhaps they are taking some time off to direct their focus onto new things.
Regardless, the show has given us many unforgettable memories and we still have one season to come– premiering early 2021, and we’re guaranteed to continue keeping up with the Kardashian-Jenner family over their socials!
What do you think? Are you upset that Keeping Up With the Kardashians has ended?
Do you have any speculations for what is coming next? Who do you think will be the first to create their own spin-off show? (Maybe we’ll get more episodes of Life of Kylie!)
