It’s been revealed that actor Jon Bernthal has changed representation and has signed a contract with CAA, which has us wondering whether he might be gearing up to star in a new Punisher series.
The news that Bernthal has signed with CAA comes to us via Deadline, and it’s been making me wonder about the actor’s future plans.
Bernthal has a lot of future projects on the docket and is currently starring in the HBO series, We Own This City, alongside Josh Charles, Jamie Hector, and Wunmi Mosaku.
Bernthal is then going to star in Lena Dunham’s feature film Sharp Stick, alongside Kristine Froseth, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Taylour Paige.
The film debuted at the virtual Sundance Film Festival in January 2022 and was later acquired by Utopia and released today in theatres in the US.
Bernthal recently starred in King Richard from director Reinaldo Marcus Green, alongside Will Smith and Aunjanue Ellis.
In the movie, Bernthal played Serena and Venus Williams’ famed tennis coach Rick Macci.
He can be seen next in the Showtime series American Gigolo.

Bernthal is also developing The Bottoms.
This will be a drama series that he’s created, will star in, and co-write.
Bernthal is also the host of the weekly podcast Real Ones With Jon Bernthal.
Bernthal continues to be represented by Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern and Narrative PR.
So, yes, Bernthal’s got a lot of stuff coming out in the next few years, but what about the Punisher series?
It was revealed that he’s still going to be represented by Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern and Narrative PR.
However, he’s changed the main representation, and CAA is easily one of the biggest agencies working in Hollywood today.
Many of their clients are big-name Hollywood stars, and they have a lot of Marvel actors on their books.

I do actually think that this move is a pretty good indication that Jon Bernthal is looking to bolster his already impressive career.
It does seem as though he’s planning on being in a lot of bigger Hollywood projects moving forward, which to me indicates that he’s going to be coming to the MCU.
It doesn’t come much bigger than working with Marvel Studios these days.
There have been rumours for a very long time now that he’s going to be returning as Frank Castle in the MCU.
These rumours were then followed up with reports that a new Punisher series is in the works for Disney Plus.
