Johnny Depp has stated that no one can take the role of Jack Sparrow away from him.
According to ComicBook, the actor has come out fighting when it comes to arguably his most well-known role.
He made the remarks whilst attending a press conference at the San Sebastian Film Festival.

The actor has found himself on the periphery of Hollywood in recent years, as his legal battles have taken a toll on his once-promising career.
He remains locked in a bitter feud with ex-wife Amber Heard over allegations of abuse.
Depp lost his legal battle against a British tabloid that labelled him as a “wife-beater”, and was forced to resign his role in the Fantastic Beasts franchise.
Yet Depp has said that nothing will ever take the role of Captain Jack Sparrow away from him:
I’ll go to somebody’s house, man, I’ll perform at your kid’s birthday party at this point. I don’t need a company to do that. I can just do that myself and nobody can take that away.
Depp portrayed the eccentric Captain Jack Sparrow across five Pirates of the Caribbean films.
It was a role he made his own, earning an Oscar nod for his very first performance in the role.
While a couple of Pirates projects are currently in the works, the ship seems to have sailed when it comes to Depp’s involvement in either project.
But as Depp says, he will always have Captain Jack, and no one can take that away from him.
