John Krasinski reportedly met with Marvel for a role in the MCU and I think he and wife Emily Blunt have to be cast in the MCU’s Fantastic Four movie.
It was revealed earlier this week that John Krasinski and Marvel met recently over a role in the MCU.
There’s only one role this could be for: Reed Richards (a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic).
Over the years there’s been many rumours that Krasinski would be playing Reed Richards.
This has probably been fuelled by the fact that he would be perfect for the role.
The other thing in relation to Krasinski is his history with Marvel Studios.
It’s been well documented that Krasinski came very close to being cast as Captain America.

However, that role eventually went to Chris Evans and the rest is history.
Krasinski did reveal that he actually got into the Captain America suit whilst auditioning for the role.
Yet, he was very aware by how bulky the other actors in the MCU were.
He explained how he saw Chris Hemsworth before putting on the suit and he felt rather intimidated by the Aussie actor who went on to play Thor.
John Krasinski is now a lot bigger than he was back then and he’s proven he can do action in the Jack Ryan series.
He’s excellent in the first two seasons of Jack Ryan and I can’t wait to see him play the character again in Season 3.
Now that it’s been confirmed he actually met with Marvel before the whole Coronavirus pandemic about an MCU role, I think it’s just a matter of time before he’s announced as the MCU’s Reed Richards

There’s also the fact that Reed Richards in the Marvel comics looks an awful lot like John Krasinski.
So, if you starting putting two and two together, the answer quickly becomes John Krasinski is going to be cast as Reed Richards.
Then there’s the fact that his real-life wife, Emily Blunt, would make for an excellent Susan Storm.
I would love to see the pair get to star in a Fantastic Four movie.
They’ve already proven they’re very able to work together with A Quiet Place.
John Krasinski could even direct the Fantastic Four movie, and I think Marvel Studios should get him on-board.

Then there’s the fact that Krasinski has even hinted that he might be playing a superhero sometime soon.
This was in his recent episode of Some Good News on YouTube in which he made a joke about not being a hero.
He showed some fan art of himself as hero and he joked that it’s the closest he’d ever get to being a hero.
“And finally there is this four-paneler, which I have to appreciate as it will be the closest I ever get to playing a comic book hero,” he joked.
He also made a reference to it being a “four-paneler”.
Is he hinting that he might be in the Fantastic Four movie?
It does seem that way, and that would be great news!
