John David Washington Reportedly In The Running To Play Green Lantern

There are rumours suggesting that Warner Bros. Pictures might be looking at casting John David Washington as Green Lantern in an upcoming movie.

First off, let me make it perfectly clear, this rumour comes from We Got This Covered’s sources, so take it with a big pinch of salt.

They have a spotty track record as far as these things are concerned.

However, this casting rumour just makes so much sense.

John David Washington has been in movies such as The Book Of Eli, Monsters And Men and most recent BlacKkKlansman.

BlacKkKlansman was arguably his breakout role and he’s now about to star in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie Tenet.

It seems as though Warner Bros. Pictures is now interesting in casting him as Green Lantern in an upcoming movie.

If this does turn out to be true, I’m pretty sure Warner Bros. Pictures is considering casting Washington as the John Stewart version of the character.

I think both they and DC Entertainment have realised that audiences are too interesting in seeing Hal Jordan lead another movie.

Now, Jordan could be in the movie, and I love the idea of casting Tom Cruise in the role.

He would make for a great mentor to John as he starts his time as Earth’s Green Lantern.

I really hope this casting rumour is true because it just makes so much sense as far as I’m concerned.
