It’s been revealed that John Boyega and Robert De Niro have been cast in an upcoming Netflix movie called The Formula. This news was revealed via Deadline.
This movie is going to be directed by Gerard McMurray. He directed Burning Sands which was one of Netflix’s very first original features. It’s been revealed that he’ll be making his return to Netflix to direct The Formula.
They’ve now added Star Wars’ John Boyega and Robert De Niro and McMurray will also write and produce the movie. Deadline also revealed that Jane Rosenthal, De Niro and Berry Welsh will produce the film.

The Formula will follow the story of a Formula One young racer who’s going to become the next big thing. However, he will be forced to become a getaway driver to save the only family he has left.
Jason Michael Berman will be the film’s executive producer, and Sam Shaw and Buppie Productions’ Ephraim Walker will be servicing as the film’s co-producers. This will be yet another one of Netflix’s projects that they hope will be up for awards when it’s released, which I think it could be.
