It’s been revealed that HBO Max has ordered three series from J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions, including a show inspired by Stephen King’s The Shining.
According to IndieWire, these shows will all feature one-hour long episodes and will be produced by Bad Robot for HBO Max.
MBO Max, which is WarnerMedia’s upcoming streaming platform will be up-and-running sometime in May.
The series based on Stephen King’s The Shining will be called Overlook.
It’ll be a horror-thriller series inspired by and featuring iconic characters from King’s The Shining.
This series will go over the untold stories from the Overlook Hotel which is the setting for Stephen King’s iconic horror novel.
Bad Robot, King, and Warner Bros. Television previously collaborated together on Hulu’s Castle Rock.

However, that isn’t the only series that Bad Robot is doing for MBO Max.
It’s also been revealed that Bad Robot is working on Duster for HBO Max.
That show will be co-written by Abrams and LaToya Morgan (The Walking Dead, Shameless).
The third show Bad Robot is producing for MBO Max will be a series featuring characters from DC Comics’ Justice League Dark comic books.
It’s not yet known which characters will be in the show.
However the Justice League Dark original superhero team included the likes of such heroes as John Constantine, Swamp Thing, and Deadman.
