It’s being reported that Small Screen favourite, Jim Carrey, has just signed on to star in multiple Doctor Robotnik movies. This rumour comes to us from Daniel Richtman’s Patreon page.
Jim Carrey recently played the character in the Sonic The Hedgehog movie, and as far as I’m concerned, he was the best thing in the film. It seems as though Paramount Pictures was so impressed with his performance and happy with the positive reaction to his take on Robotnik, that they want to make more movies with him as the character.
Richtman is reporting that Carrey and Paramount Pictures have now agreed on terms and he’ll be starring in not just one more Sonic The Hedgehog movie, but he’ll also be getting his own Doctor Robotnik films.

Jim Carrey wasn’t in the best of places before he agreed to star as Doctor Robotnik in the recent Sonic The Hedgehog movie. His career wasn’t where it used to be, and it was looking like he might struggle to get back to being the comedic powerhouse he once was.
However, it seems as though things are looking up for Carrey. In the 90s and early 2000s, Jim Carrey was one of Hollywood’s most successful stars. He starred in hits such as The Mask, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Bruce Almighty, The Truman Show, Dumb And Dumber, Liar Liar, The Cable Guy, Batman Forever…
Literally, his list of box office hits was endless. But, he wasn’t just a funny guy in movies. With the likes of Eternal Sunshine Of A Spotless Mind, Man On The Moon and I Love You Phillip Morris, Carrey demonstrated that he was also an incredibly talented dramatic actor.
I would also say that he was the best part of Kick-Ass 2, which apart from his performance in the movie, was a complete and utter dumpster fire of a film.
