He has worked on countless productions ranging from He-Man to Zack Snyder’s Justice League, to Trese in many roles as storyboard artist, director and executive producer. He’s also a close confidant of Zack Snyder and is quite passionate about sharing behind the scenes art and information about the SnyderVerse.

For those of you who may not know (where ya been?), Ben Affleck signed on to produce and direct The Batman in 2013. Affleck co-wrote the script with Geoff Johns. Well, after Zack Snyder’s Justice League was turned in to Josstice League Ben Affleck had enough and dropped out of the project.

Here’s what Ben Affleck had to say about dropping out of The Batman:

I had a really nadir experience around Justice League for a lot of different reasons. Not blaming anybody, there’s a lot of things that happened. But really what it was is that I wasn’t happy. I didn’t like being there. I didn’t think it was interesting. And then some really shitty things, awful things happened. But, that’s when I was like, ‘I’m not going to do that anymore.

Okay, back to Jay Oliva. Being so close to productions of DC Animated AND Zack Snyder films, he definitely has the inside track. He’s quite vocal on twitter about what was supposed to happen and what the plan was for the SnyderVerse.

Here’s the latest tweet he put out showcasing Deathstroke from Ben Affleck’s The Batman:

It really makes you wonder what kind of film Ben Affleck’s The Batman would have been. According to those who have read the script it would have been an amazing film.

According to those who have read the script it would have been an amazing film.

Ben Affleck’s The Batman would have taken place in a single location. Arkham Asylum, none the less. It would have had pitted Batman against Deathstroke in this location, with Deathstroke blaming The Dark Knight for the death of his son. The finale would have apparently featured Batman and Batgirl taking on Deathstroke in the finale.

Matt Reeve’s, the director of this years The Batman, likened the script to an almost “James Bond” feel.
