It’s now being rumoured that Jared Leto is in talks to appear as Morbius in the upcoming Spider-Man 3. This rumour comes to us from regular scoopster, Daniel Richtman. However, I will say that this a bit of a stretch as far as I’m concerned.
So, let’s go over some of the names that are reportedly going to be in Spider-Man 3. We know that Tom Holland is going to be in it (at least, I think he is). He’s going to be joined by the likes of Zendaya and Jacob Balaton. It was also revealed that Benedict Cumberbatch will be playing Doctor Strange in the movie.
Now, let’s get onto the names which haven’t been ‘officially’ revealed by Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures. Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Kirsten Dunst, Emma Stone, Alfred Molina, Jamie Foxx, Michael Keaton, Willem Dafoe, Dane DeHaan, Charlie Cox and we’re now also hearing that Tom Hardy and Jared Leto might also be in the movie.

This is now sounding like Spider-Man 3 is going to be a very, very full movie. Now, all these characters are rumoured to be in the movie because it’ll involve the Multiverse being ripped open. This will unleash all sorts of Hell onto Tom Holland’s Peter Parker’s world, and he’ll need all the help he can get to fix it.
It sounds like Doctor Strange and both Maguire and Garfield’s versions of Spider-Man will be helping Holland’s Peter to fix things. It’s also being rumoured that the Sinister Six will form up and go against the Spider-Men. This sounds pretty cool, but I’m still sceptical.
As for Jared Leto’s Morbius being in the film, I wouldn’t be all that surprised as he is about to play the character and Sony Pictures might be keen to have him crossover in the MCU Spider-Man movie. The same could be said about Tom Hardy’s Venom. Only time will officially tell.
