Jamie Foxx Talks Changes In His Spider-Man 3 Character In Since Deleted Instagram Post

After it was revealed that Jamie Foxx had been cast in Spider-Man 3, the actor took to Instagram to talk about his new character.

This news was revealed by The Hollywood Reporter who also claimed that Foxx would be playing Electro in the movie.

However, pretty soon after the news broke, I was contacted by an insider source who informed me that they got the casting news wrong.

I was told that Foxx had actually been cast as Moon Knight in the MCU and that he would also be starring in the subsequent Disney Plus series.

However, Marvel Studios wanted to keep this news under wraps.

It makes so much more sense that Foxx would be playing Moon Knight rather than Electro because his version of the Spider-Man villain in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was just so awful.

Again, I’ve said this before, but his performance in that movie isn’t his fault.

He merely did what he was told to do and what it said in the script.

Anyway, soon after the announcement was made by The Hollywood Reporter, Foxx took to Instagram to talk about his upcoming Spider-Man 3 character.

Here’s what Foxx wrote in the since-deleted Instagram post:

Tell Spidey let’s run it back! Super excited to part of the new Marvel Spider-Man new installment… can’t wait for y’all to check the new one. And I won’t be blue in this one!! But a thousand percent badass!!!

This is an interesting post for two reasons.

First off, it confirms that he will indeed be in the movie, therefore there is truth to The Hollywood Reporter’s article.

Secondly, however, he neither confirms nor denies whether he’ll be playing Electro or not.

If anything, it actually feels like he’s saying that he won’t be playing the same character that he played in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Therefore, it stands to reason that he could be playing a completely new character, not Electro.

Now, I always make a point of checking and double-checking my sources information and their credibility.

I also always reach out to the companies in question, as I did with my Jamie Foxx is playing Moon Knight article.

However, I very rarely get a response. Not even a denial.

I’m still waiting though and I’ll update you with any new details on this story.
