It was revealed a few weeks back that Jamie Foxx would be playing Electro in Spider-Man 3, however, he’s now refusing to confirm whether he’s in the movie or not. This comes after CinemaBlend asked him directly whether he was in the movie or not.
Jamie Foxx played Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and his take on the character wasn’t much liked by neither the fans nor the critics. However, that was not really down to him.
So, it came as a bit of a shock when it was revealed that he was going to be reprising the role in the upcoming Spider-Man 3 movie which is currently filming in Atlanta. However, when asked about it recently, Foxx was being very coy on the subject.

Here’s what Jamie Foxx said when he was asked by CinemaBlend during a recent video interview whether he was going to be in Spider-Man 3:
You’re absolutely right, I can’t speak on it. But if I’m in it, I’ll be so happy.
Personally, I do hope he’s in it because I’d love to see him get a second chance to play the role. He was done a huge disservice the first time he took on the role. It was not his fault his performance wasn’t brilliant. It was a result of poor writing and direction.
That said, I’m pretty sure he’s in it because he did put out a since-deleted post on Instagram in which he expressed his excitement to be part of the new Spider-Man Marvel installment. I think he was told off by people at Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios for that post and is now on good behaviour.
