Within a month after Jamie Foxx’s health scare, the vampire-slayer dad in Netflix’s Day Shift made his first statement allaying fans’ worries. Many wondered what could have happened to the Oscar winning actor that he was suddenly brought to the hospital during the last days of filming for Back in Action.
Even though he was taken to the hospital via private vehicle and not by an ambulance, the urgency of medical attention was still most concerning.
Likewise, despite the fact that the medical issue did not take place while Foxx was shooting, people still wondered if the actor was getting too stressed with his seemingly jam-packed commitments.
Almost immediately after his hospitalization, his daughter Corrine recently shared the family statement:
We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.

More than 535K likes to the post and people troop to the comment section flooding the actor’s post with well wishes and gratitude that he is on the road to recovery indeed. While there is no noted reply from Foxx in any of the 48.6K and still growing comments, overwhelming appreciation of his progress is prevalent.
In other discussions online, fans and followers of the actor wonder what ‘medical complications’ actually mean. While people would immediately assume a specific ailment, some health professionals and PR specialists say the words were a strategic phrase they selected to honor the actor’s medical privacy and above all, insurance concerns.
On the other hand, some comments on Foxx’s latest instagram post are asking if it’s truly him who’s posted the update.

However, it is truly a relief for fans to learn that the actor is taking his steps to getting ‘back in action’. It’s as if his current project tells of his real-life task at hand. Jamie Foxx is almost back in action.
Including the project Back in Action with actress Cameron Diaz, Jamie Foxx is up to appear in at least 4 feature projects just this year alone.
He is the voice of Bug in the surprisingly R-rated movie from Universal Pictures about an abandoned dog meaning to take revenge on his former owner titled Strays. The adventure comedy about the four-legged posse comes this June 9, 2023 in the UK and US.
Foxx will be Slick Charles in the scifi-mystery R-rated comedy They Cloned Tyrone. The movie arrives on Netflix by July but will be having a special screening during the American Black Film Festival on June 14.
His two other 2023 due projects are God Is a Bullet and Tin Soldier. Other projects in post-production other than Back in Action are All-Star Weekend, Signal Hilland The Burial. Meanwhile, his portrayal of Biggz in Groove Tails is also still in production.
