So, it’s been officially confirmed that James Mangold is directing the upcoming Indiana Jones 5 movie which is about to go into production. This was yet another nugget of information revealed to us by Kathleen Kennedy in the Disney Investor’s Call.
Seriously, so much news came out of this presentation from Disney. It’s a bit mad how much stuff they’re doing, and one of the biggest things they’re working on is the upcoming Indiana Jones movie.
We already knew that Harrison Ford would be returning as Indiana Jones, and we also knew that Steven Spielberg would not be returning as the film’s director. There had been rumours that Logan director, James Mangold was going to be directing the movie. However, we hadn’t had official confirmation until now.

Indiana Jones 5 has been pushed back a number of times now, but it looks like it’s full steam ahead on the movie, and that’s terrific news. Now that they finally have a director on-board, I’m pretty sure they’ll be getting things moving very quickly.
I’ve been desperate to see this upcoming Indiana Jones movie because the last one left a really bad taste in my mouth. I’m pretty sure that many of you didn’t think too much of the movie either.
