James Gunn Will Make More Projects With DC Films

It’s been revealed by DC Film’s President, Walter Hamada, that James Gunn will go on to direct more projects for DC in the future.

Hamada revealed this in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

Honestly, James Gunn making The Suicide Squad for DC Films was probably one of the best things to happen in the comic book movie genre.

DC Films were in desperate need of a shot in the arm.

James Gunn was exactly that. You could say that Gunn was DC Films’ vaccine to cure DC Films’ terrible case of ‘stagnatisis’.

Well, the reviews for The Suicide Squad are in and they’re overwhelmingly positive.

And, it looks like DC Films is keen to keep Gunn around for as long as they can.

He’s already finishing off his The Suicide Squad spinoff series in Peacemaker and it looks like he’s going to do something else for them.

Yep. We’re getting more DC Comics projects from James Gunn

Here’s what Walter Hamada had to say on James Gunn possibly directing more movies for DC Films:

Gunn is always welcome back, whatever he wants to do. He really has a vision and he’s a great partner with us. Whenever he wants to come back, we’re ready for him. He’ll be back. We have more stuff planned.

This is all very good news if you ask me.

It means that Gunn will basically be given free rein over whatever he wants to do next in the DC Comics sandbox.
