James Gunn has confirmed that he’s working on another DCEU project.
As reported by Screen Rant, the director who brought us this year’s The Suicide Squad has confirmed that he is working on a new DC project.
Gunn is currently putting the finishing touches to his Peacemaker series, that he shot in Vancouver with John Cena earlier this year.

However, in a tweet, the director confirmed that this new project is something new altogether:
Yes, I'm developing another DC project besides Peacemaker.

Gunn established himself as a household name in the world of superhero filmmaking with his first two Guardians of the Galaxy films.
However, as we all know, he initially was not going to direct GOTG vol 3, after he was fired over some old tweets.
This enabled him to jump ship and work with DC on The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker.
Though, after a public outcry, Gunn was eventually reinstated as director on the third Guardians film.
Production is expected to begin next month.

So what could that new DC project be?
Given the critical praise that was bestowed on The Suicide Squad, we hope it will involve some of those characters.
Gunn has said he’d love to work with Margot Robbie again, so could it be a future Harley Quinn film?
Given that Gunn is gearing up for Guardians 3, we don’t expect any official announcements on this project for a while.
But, we are beyond excited to see what Gunn and DC have in store for us.
