James Cameron Reveals Resident Evil Is One Of His Guilty-Pleasure Movies

James Cameron has revealed that Paul W. S. Anderson’s very first Resident Evil movie is one of his “guilty-pleasure” movies.

I’ve made no secret of the fact that I’m a big fan of Anderson’s Resident Evil films.

At least, I love the first movie and the follow-ups aren’t as good, but I still enjoyed watching them as a kid.

I was probably way too young when I watched the first zombie movie, but I fell in love with the movies and the zombie movie genre.

It’s now been revealed that I’m not alone in my love of the Resident Evil films.

Apparently James Cameron really likes the first movie in the series.

During an interview with Empire Magazine, the iconic filmmaker revealed that Resident Evil is one of his “guilty-pleasure” movies.

Here’s what Cameron told Empire about his love of the very first Resident Evil film:

One of my guilty-pleasure films that I actually think is quite beautifully made is Resident Evil. Watching Michelle Rodriguez in that film, moving like this feral creature, is joyful.

I like the fact that Cameron thinks the first Resident Evil is “beautifully made” because I always thought it was.

Michelle Rodriguez is also brilliant in that movie, and it kind of kickstarted her action movie career.

She’s since starred in Cameron’s Avatar, the Fast And Furious movies and S.W.A.T..
