We finally have a release date for Jack Ryan Season 3 on Amazon Prime Video! It’s taken a while to get to this point, but we are going to get to watch the third season on Prime Video relatively soon. It’s been revealed that the show’s third season will be released on the streaming platform on December 21st later this year (via TV Line).
So, Jack Ryan Season 2 was released a whopping 38 months ago. It was released on Amazon Prime Video in October 2019, and I really loved the second season. I was all ready to watch the third season, and we were told that it was happening. However, as time went by, we heard very little about the third season. We did hear that it was being filmed, and then we learnt that the third season had wrapped filming. However, Prime Video didn’t reveal the show’s release date, until now.

It was also revealed that the show’s third season is going to consist of eight episodes. The series will star John Krasinski as the series’ main action hero, Jack Ryan. It’s revealed that Ryan is “on the run and in a race against time.” This is according to the show’s official tagline. Here’s the show’s official synopsis:
Jack is wrongly implicated in a larger conspiracy and suddenly finds himself a fugitive out in the cold. Now, wanted by both the CIA and an international rogue faction that he has uncovered, Jack is forced underground, crisscrossing Europe, trying to stay alive, while preventing a massive global conflict.

So, who’s going to star alongside Krasinski? It’s been revealed that Wendell Pierce (as James Greer) and Michael Kelly (as Mike November) will both be returning for the third season. It’s also been revealed that Season 3’s cast includes new series regulars Nina Hoss (Homeland) as Alena Kovac and Betty Gabriel (Get Out, Clickbait) as Elizabeth Wright.
OK, what about the next season of the show? I know that many of you will want to know whether we’ll be getting a fourth season of the series. Well, it was revealed not too long ago that Jack Ryan has already been renewed for Season 4. This news was actually revealed by Deadline, and they also revealed that the fourth season will be the show’s final season. Moreover, the last episode of the main Jack Ryan series will reportedly set up a spinoff starring Michael Peña (Narcos: Mexico). It was also reported that this spinoff series would reintroduce Season 1 cast member Abbie Cornish as Jack’s MIA love interest, Cathy Mueller.
