Invincible Season 2 is easily one of our most anticipated shows to be released on Amazon Prime Video, and we now know that the series is going to be released in 2023. This news comes to us via Collider.
This news was actually revealed by Vernon Sanders, the Head of Television at Amazon Studios, during a conversation with Collider about the success of Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. It was revealed that the series was viewed by over 100 million people worldwide, with more than 24 billion minutes streamed.
As for their animated superhero show, Invincible, the first season premiered on Prime Video back in March 2021. It ended up becoming one of Prime Video’s biggest hits and people were desperate to watch the second season.
The show ended up being renewed very quickly for two more seasons, which means that we’re going to get to see at least three seasons of the animated series which is based on Robert Kirkman’s comic book series.
Amazon also gave the creative team behind the series a lot of room and time to plan out what they want to do in the upcoming seasons of the series. The thing is, we still don’t know when the next season of the show will be released.
Invincible Season 2 will be released on Prime Video in 2023

So, during Sanders’ interview with Collider, he was asked whether he could give any sort of update about when the second season would be released on their streaming platform. Sanders then replied, “2023 is going to be a great year for people.”
Collider then pressed Sanders for a more precise answer on where fans could expect new episodes of the show to premiere in 2023. That was when Sanders told Collider “yes”, which means that the show is definitely going to be released next year.
This all means that it’s official. The second season will be released in 2023. However, we would still like to get an actual release date for the next season of the hit show. The best I can come up with at the moment is an ‘educated guess’.
I would expect the show to be released in the second or third quarter of the year. This means that we could see the second season be released between April and September.
When could Season 3 be released?

As mentioned above, the Invincible comic books were written by Kirkman, and they featured artwork from Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley. The comic book and show’s story follows the adventures of Mark Grayson (voiced by Steven Yeun) as he adjusts to his newly awakened superpowers.
Mark is the son of Omni-Man (voiced by J.K Simmons), who is basically this universe’s take on Superman. That fact puts a lot of pressure on Mark as he is expected to be ‘invincible’, and as good a superhero as his father.
His journey is going to be a tough one, and it’s going to be filled with blood, guts, gore, twists, turns and massive shocks. The first season of the show saw Mark discover that his father is not the hero that the world believes he is.
The series is literally the best evil Superman story ever told, and fans cannot wait to see what’s to come! That said, they could just read the comic books to find out what happens next. However, Kirkman has revealed that the source material and the series will differ slightly moving forward.
to becoming a hero is filled with blood, guts, and tears. Season 1 of the show followed Mark as he discovered his father is not as noble as everyone thinks, giving superhero fans the best “evil Superman” story ever created.
The show also has an incredible cast of voice actors, and it looks like Season 2 is going to get even bigger names on board. The star-studded voice cast of Invincible includes the likes of Jason Mantzoukas, Sandra Oh, Seth Rogen, Mark Hamill, and Mahershala Ali.
