It’s been revealed that Indiana Jones 5 (Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny) has been rated PG-13 in the United States, which shouldn’t come as a huge surprise. This movie was never going to be R-rated in the United States.

This upcoming movie is being directed by James Mangold, who was the man that gave us films such as Logan, Walk The Line and Le Mans 66. He’s a terrific director, and I was so happy when it was announced that he would be directing this fifth Indy movie.

Mangold also co-wrote the script with Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth. The movie is produced by Lucasfilm and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, and it is the fifth instalment of the Indiana Jones film series.

The movie is going to star Harrison Ford in his fifth and final portrayal of archaeologist Indiana Jones. John Rhys-Davies will also reprise his role as Sallah from past films, with new cast members including Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Thomas Kretschmann, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook, Olivier Richters, Ethann Isidore, and Mads Mikkelsen.

That’s a pretty impressive cast, and I cannot wait to see what Phoebe Waller-Bridge gets up to in this movie. She’s going to be playing a character called Helena Shaw. It’s since been revealed that Helena is going to be Jones’ goddaughter in the movie.

Mangold identified Helena as the “catalyst” of the film, kicking off the film’s plot after dragging her godfather into a problem of hers. She is also the daughter of an old friend of Indy who hasn’t been shown before.

The movie’s main villain is reportedly going to be Mads Mikkelsen’s Jürgen Voller, who was a Nazi during World War II and has been hired by NASA and seeks to use the Apollo moon landing program for his own gain. He’s going to be a pretty formidable villain in this Indiana Jones movie.

Interestingly enough, this will be the first Indiana Jones movie not directed by Steven Spielberg that doesn’t have a story written by George Lucas. Spielberg and Lucas are serving as executive producers on the film.
