Idris Elba Is Rumoured In Talks For A Role In New G.I. Joe Reboot

There’s a rumour on the Internet which suggests that Idris Elba is in the running to play a key role in the G.I. Joe reboot.

This rumour was first posted by Daniel Ritchman on Patreon.

He is now claiming that Idris Elba is one of the many names that the higher-ups at Paramount Pictures are considering for the reboot.

I call it a reboot, however, it’ll probably end up being a loose third instalment.

Other names supposedly attached to this movie are Dwayne Johnson, Mark Wahlberg, Tom Holland and even John Cena.

There are all huge names to be attached to this franchise, which hasn’t performed all that well at the box office.

So, it seems as though Paramount Pictures thinks they can bolster this franchise’s earnings by adding some really big names to the project.

If they could get all those names on board, then this would end up being the biggest action movie in history.

That would otherwise be known as Fast And Furious 10, which could feasibly also star many of the names mentioned above.

That said, it does sound like Elba and Paramount Pictures are close to having a deal done.

This would mean that Idris Elba might end up being the new face of G.I. Joe, which would be epic if you ask me.
