Deadpool’s creator, Rob Liefeld has revealed that he doesn’t think Hugh Jackman is finished playing Wolverine on the big screen.
Rob was chatting to Inverse about all things: Deadpool, comic book writing, Alan Moore…
During this conversation, he was asked about whether he thought Hugh Jackman would ever return to play Wolverine.
Jackman made it pretty clear that Logan was going to be his last outing as Wolverine.
However, Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld doesn’t think he’s telling the truth.
He seems to think that Jackman isn’t quite done with the character and that he will return to play Wolverine in the not-so-distant future.

He was initially asked who could play Wolverine in the MCU, and Liefeld said he couldn’t see anyone but Jackman in the role.
Here’s what Rob Liefeld said about Jackman return to play Wolverine
I’m stuck on Hugh Jackman. Having met Hugh, having loved Hugh, there is only Deadpool because of Wolverine… I was doing Deadpool [in the comics] to get to Wolverine. Wolverine was always the goal. I hope to God he comes back, I do. He’s been seriously firm that he’s not going to be Wolverine, and I foolishly don’t believe him.
Seems as though Liefeld really believes Jackman is just lying to all of us.
