Free Guy’s very first trailer starring Ryan Reynolds, Jodie Comer, Taika Waititi and Joe Keery landed last week, and the movie looks really good, but that didn’t stop a certain Hugh Jackman from trolling the film.
Reynolds’ upcoming movie will be about an NPC (non-playable character) called guy who works as a bank teller in a video game and ends up becoming aware of the fact that he’s in a video game.
I suppose that’s the moment where all hell breaks loose and Ryan Reynolds gets to become all ‘Ryan Reynolds-y’.
Anyway, Hugh Jackman, who seems to be Reynolds’ fake arch-nemesis in Hollywood, has perfectly trolled the movie via his Instagram account.
What the Aussie actor did was take the film’s poster which sees Reynolds as a smiling Guy holding a coffee cup whilst all manner of mayhem is going on around him and put his face in the place of Reynolds’.
Hugh Jackman is trolling Ryan Reynolds’ movie, Free Guy
I’ve got to say that it’s an excellent bit of photoshopping, and he accompanied the picture with the following caption.
A small edit to make this a much better promotional tool. Thank you @karthik.
I love the banter between Reynolds and Jackman and I just wish the two of them would do a movie together.
Reynolds has been desperately trying to get Jackman to appear in a Deadpool movie as Wolverine, yet I’m not sure if that’s ever going to happen.
It would probably be too much for most Marvel fans to handle, seeing them both on the big screen together.
Fans will just have to make do with these little jokes the two actors seem to enjoy posting on social media.
