Hugh Jackman Might Not Be Done Playing Wolverine

So, it seems as though Hugh Jackman might not be done playing Wolverine after all if recent reports are anything to go by.

It seems as though Kevin Feige is very keen on the idea of having the Australian actor play the role in the MCU at least once.

It’s being reported by Mikey Sutton over at Geekosity that he and Jackman have met and discussed the idea of having him play Wolverine in the MCU in some capacity.

The reason I say “some capacity” is because it still sounds as though Marvel Studios will end up casting a younger actor in the role.

However, now that they are exploring the Multiverse, this also means that Jackman can feasibly turn up in another project which is sort of adjacent to the MCU.

What could that project be, you ask? Well, it could be a Deadpool project.

It’s no secret that Ryan Reynolds has been desperately trying to get Jackman to play Wolverine in a Deadpool movie.

It seems as though Feige quite likes the idea.

Personally, I think a Deadpool and Wolverine road movie would be incredible.

Now, what Mikey is saying is that Jackman wants to see a script before saying yes to anything.

This makes sense, and it’s usually what any actor would ask to do before agreeing to play a role.

Mikey does go a step further in his report and adds that this Wolverine would not be connected to Logan, the incredible movie.

That is one of Jackman’s biggest concerns in returning to play the role.

It’s the fact that he doesn’t want to ruin the incredible work he, his fellow cast members and most importantly, James Mangold did on Logan.

That film, I believe, is a masterpiece, and it would be sad if Jackman were to return in the role in the MCU and the movie end up being pretty average.

However, Feige reportedly has an answer for that: he would be playing a different version of Wolverine in the movie.

This might be interesting to Jackman because it would mean he’d get to explore an alternate version of Logan.

That’s something that might seem very appealing to an actor.
