Well, this is an interesting story and quite a strange one. Hotel Transylvania 4 was supposed to be released on Amazon Prime Video on October 1st, but it wasn’t.
This was revealed by multiple Twitter users and they were pissed.
Honestly, I don’t blame that.
The movie was purchased by Amazon from Sony Pictures.
It was originally supposed to be released in cinemas, but Amazon stopped that.
Here’s what a very upset Hotel Transylvania fan had to say to Amazon and Sony for not releasing the movie when they said they would:
@PrimeVideo @SonyPictures WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU?? Sony you disappointed children by not releasing #HotelTransylvania4 into theaters and then Prime YOU didn’t release it today like you were SUPPOSED to. My kid is bawling now. She has been looking forward to it for months she cried.

Why wasn’t Hotel Transylvania 4 released on Amazon Prime Video?

Interestingly enough, Amazon actually ended up replying to this disgruntled Twitter user.
Here’s what they had to say about the whole ordeal:
Hello! We’re sorry for the disappointment, but Hotel Transylvania 4 did not get released from the studio today as it was scheduled to be. As soon as it’s been released we will be airing it for you! Stay tuned. – Cherron

So, as of writing this article, there’s still no official release date for Hotel Transylvania 4, which is just mad to me.
They announced a release date, and for some reason – which they still haven’t revealed – Amazon didn’t release the film when they said they would.
What do you make of this news?
