Disney has revealed that Hocus Pocus 2 is officially happening and it’ll see the whole original cast return in their respective roles.
They revealed this via their official Instagram account, and we here and Small Screen couldn’t be happier to hear this news.
I’ve been a huge fan of the first Hocus Pocus movie ever since I was a kid.
I just loved the movie growing up, and I watched it this past Halloween on Disney Plus.
I thought that it had aged a lot, but it was still a great kids movie.
It’s just a fantastic movie to watch on Halloween with your family.
It’s full of magic and wonderfully fun Halloween spookiness. Perfect for kids, really.
Hocus Pocus 2 is coming to Disney Plus in 2022

Here’s what Disney wrote about Hocus Pocus 2 on Instagram:
It’s all just a bunch of Hocus Pocus 2 @BetteMidler, @SarahJessicaParker, and @KathyNajimy will reprise their roles as the delightfully wicked Sanderson Sisters in #HocusPocus2, coming fall 2022 to #DisneyPlus.
So, this sequel will see the likes of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy all return to play the Sanderson Sisters.
It’s going to be coming to Disney Plus in 2022, which is pretty soon.
I would guess that they’re going to start shooting this sequel as soon as possible in order to hit that release date.
I think it’s the perfect film to release on Disney Plus.
