This year’s Oscars have come and gone, and now it’s time to find out who won what on Hollywood’s biggest night of the year.
The Oscars are over for yet another year. That celebrated night where the biggest names in Hollywood all comes together to give one another a big pat on the back and dish out a few awards. Last year’s ceremony became quite infamous due to a historical mixup in the Best Picture category when La La Land was read out as the winner instead of the actual winner (and far more deserving in my opinion), Moonlight.
There was no mixup like that one at this year’s event, but it was a night in which movements like #MeTo and #TimesUp took centre stage, and about time too. However, it was also a night when certain people who’ve been deserving of an Academy Award for quite some time now finally got there reward. I’m talking specifically about writer/director Guillermo Del Toro and cinematographer, Roger Deakins.
