Brie Larson has been snapped wearing her Captain Marvel movie costume and it’s a lot greener than we had expected it to be.
The upcoming Captain Marvel movie is easily one of my most anticipated movies of 2019. This is not just because it’ll be Marvel’s first female-led superhero movie (about time guys…), but also because it’ll star one of the most promising young actors working today, the already Oscar-winning Brie Larson. She’ll be playing the titular Captain Marvel, a.k.a. Carol Danvers, and we recently got our first glimpse at her costume. Check it out below.

The first thing that came to my mind was, “why is it so green? Isn’t Captain Marvel’s suit red, blue and gold..?” Yes, her costume is traditionally those colours in the comics, however, before she donned her iconic suit, she wore a slightly different one. The green suit is actually the military uniform of the Kree, an alien race of power-hungry hippie intergalactic imperialists that Danvers inherits her powers from.
Yet, she inherits a lot more than just some kickass powers. She also acquires the suit and the mantle of Captain Marvel, as well as a Kree mentor known as (you’ll like this one) Mar-Vell. He’ll be played by Jude Law who’s going through something of a career renaissance. Some may call it a ‘Lawnaissance’ (that will not catch on). He’ll also be playing the young Albus Dumbledore in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
