Henry Cavill’s Superman Reportedly In The Flash Movie

Henry Cavill’s Superman will reportedly return in at least one scene of the upcoming The Flash movie. This report comes to us from YouTuber Syl Abdul (via Geekosity). According to Syl, The Flash movie has been undergoing pretty big reshoots, and he is claiming that one of the things they are doing in these reshoots is adding Cavill as the Man Of Steel in the movie. This would end up being pretty huge news if this turns out to be true!

So, before we really get into the weeds of all of this, we have to say that as far as The Flash movie scoops are concerned, Syl has been bang on the money of late. Back in July, Abdul revealed that Ben Affleck’s Batman returns in the Aquaman sequel. Literally, the day after Syl said that Batfleck was returning in Aquaman 2, Jason Momoa revealed that this was in the case via his Instagram account. Then, Syl said that in September that The Flash was undergoing “massive” rewrites and reshoots. This was then confirmed by Vanity Fair only a few days afterwards. Vanity Fair actually reported that Ezra Miller was shooting additional scenes for the movie.

So, all of that to say that when it comes to The Flash movie, I feel that Syl has a very good and accurate source. So, he’s now saying that the film’s third act has been changed somewhat and that they are adding Henry Cavill’s Superman into the mix. This would be huge as people have been desperate to see Cavill return to the role for years. There were rumours that he was going to turn up at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. However, fans were left disappointed by the panel as there was no sign nor mention of Cavill.

According to Syl Adbul, Henry Cavill will have a cameo in Black Adam’s post-credits scene, and he’s saying that that’s just the beginning. In a new video, Syl stated: “Superman will be in the third act of The Flash film.” Sasha Calle’s Supergirl was originally intended to replace Cavill’s Superman at the end of The Flash film. However, this is where the “massive” rewrites that Syl mentioned reportedly come into effect. Syl added: “This was literally not in the story before. It’s not just a small change.”

So, it seems as though this Flash movie is going to be a pretty interesting and exciting watch. People have been clamouring for Superman to return to the DC Universe, and it seems as though Warner Bros Discovery’s new leadership has been listening to the fans on this one. It was reported that WBD’s new CEO, David Zaslav, was very keen on the idea of bringing Cavill back into the fold.

However, it was also reported that Cavill was playing hardball with the studio and wanted more money for him to return to the role. This is a bit in contrast to what Cavill has said publically about returning to play the Man Of Steel. He’s always been very adamant that he would love to play Supes again.
