Henry Cavill’s Superman To Be In Multiple DC Projects

Henry Cavill’s Superman will be back in multiple DC Studios projects! That’s right. Not just one movie and a bunch of cameos. He’s going to be back for multiple movies, and we’ve also been informed that there’s potential for him to turn up in some TV shows as well.

There have been many reports that Henry Cavill is coming back as Superman. The actor revealed this himself on Instagram. Here’s what he had to say on the matter:

Hey everyone. I wanted to wait until the weekend was over before posting this because I wanted to give you all a chance to watch Black Adam. But now that plenty of you have, I wanted to make it official that I am back as Superman, and the image you see in this post and what you saw in Black Adam are just a very small taste of things to come. So, there’s a lot to be thankful for, and I’ll get to that in time. But, I wanted to thank you guys most of all. Thank you for your support, and thank you for you patience.

Before this news was revealed, we were informed that a Man Of Steel sequel is in the works, and Mikey Sutton, during an appearance on Syl Abdul’s YouTube channel, revealed that this movie’s early title is Superman. That’s right. Just Superman. I love that title for the upcoming Superman movie.

So, it seems like it’s full steam ahead on this Superman movie. We were even told that the movie would feature Brainiac as its main villain, which is excellent news! Cavill then admitted that he wants his future version of Superman to be more joyful. He revealed this during his recent interview with Josh Horowitz on his podcast, Happy Sad Confused. Here’s what Cavill had to say on the matter:

The character means so much to me. It’s been five years now. I never gave up hope. It’s amazing to be here now talking about it again. There is such a bright future ahead for the character. I’m so excited to tell a story with an enormously joyful Superman.

So, I’ve just hit you with a lot of information, but there’s more. As I stated above, we were told that Henry Cavill would play Superman in multiple DC projects. However, there’s more. We were informed that, at the moment, the plan is to have Cavill’s Supes turn up in his standalone movies, crossover films and also some TV shows! That’s a lot, but it sounds like DC Studios is putting a lot of weight behind Cavill’s Man Of Steel.

We were also previously informed that Cavill is looking to be a producer on the upcoming Man Of Steel sequel, and it seems as though DC Studios, James Gunn and Peter Safran are OK with that idea. Things have moved along quite a lot since we all saw Cavill’s cameo in the Black Adam post-credits scene.

I have asked for some more information. However, we have yet to hear anything back yet. Specifically, I am interested in knowing whether the idea, as it stands, is to make a Superman trilogy or whether it’s just going to be one movie at a time as far as Supes’ standalone movies are concerned. Once I hear back, I’ll let you know what I’ve been told.
