It’s being reported that Henry Cavill did shoot a cameo as Superman for The Flash movie, but Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios might be thinking of cutting it. This would make many people angry, and I think it wouldn’t be the best move. However, many changes are going on inside DC Studios, and it sounds as though Cavill’s Superman might not be part of their plans.
This all comes from an article from The Hollywood Reporter. They revealed that the actor had shot scenes for the DCU epic in September. However, the studio now seems uncertain whether they want to include the footage they shot with Cavill in the movie’s final cut. Why would they do this? Well, it seems as though they do not want to make any promises they can’t keep or give fans any false hope that the hero is back for good.

Well, you know what I’ll say to that. Why include his cameo at the end of Black Adam then? Honestly. it’s all such a mess, and I do feel for James Gunn, Peter Safran and Henry Cavill. They never asked for any of this, and all they want to do is to make good movies. However, given Warner Bros’ money issues, they might not be able to foot the bill for a big tentpole Superman movie at the moment.
Moreover, The Hollywood Reporter’s sources have claimed that The Flash remains ‘unlocked’ and that ‘no final decision’ on Cavill’s future has been made yet. It’s a waiting game at the moment.

It’s going to be interesting to see what happens and whether they end up officially bringing Henry Cavill’s Superman back into the DCU officially or not. I truly hope they do, but at the moment, it seems as though he might not be part of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s immediate plans. We’re just going to have to wait and see what ends up happening.
This all comes after it was reported that Jason Momoa’s time playing Aquaman might come to an end after Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom is released. However, it’s also being reported that he’s in line to play Lobo in the DCU instead, which I think would be great casting! There have also been reports that Henry Cavill’s Man Of Steel 2 might not happen after all, which would be really upsetting because I and many other DC fans are desperate to see that movie.
