Henry Cavill Opens Up On Loki Season 2 Rumours

Henry Cavill has opened up about the rumours that he’s going to be turning up in the Disney Plus series, Loki Season 2. Let’s see what he said. Cavill was asked about the rumours that he’s appearing in the second season of the Marvel series during a recent interview with Josh Horowitz on his Happy Sad Confused podcast. We’ll go over what he had to say on the matter in a second.

However, before we go over Cavill’s comments, I wanted to talk a little bit about the Loki Season 2 rumours. Now, it had been rumoured that Cavill was going to turn up in the series as the Superman-esque Marvel character Hyperion. Now, I haven’t personally been told that this is happening. However, the rumours are out there. That said, we were told a while back that Cavill and Marvel Studios were having meetings about him joining the MCU. So, it does seem as though Marvel and Cavill’s team might have come to some sort of agreement.

So, Josh asked Cavill about the rumours that he’s going to be turning up in Loki Season 2. However, Cavill’s answer might not please people who were hoping to see the Superman actor turn up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Here’s what he had to say on the matter:

As far as I know, I am not going to be in Loki… It would be a tricky one to handle at this stage…If James Gunn can do it, maybe I can too.

So, it seems that Cavill is saying he’s not in it. However, he wouldn’t come out and say that he’s going to be in the show during an interview that’s filmed live in front of an audience. It seems as though Marvel might want to keep that under wraps for as long as possible. Also, the fact that Cavill brought up the fact that Gunn is going to be working for both Marvel and DC Studios at the same time makes me think that he’s teasing that he might be doing the same thing.

So, all this to say that, yes, Cavill did deny the rumours that he’s in the next season of Loki. However, you have to remember that actors will never confirm anything without confirmation from the studios that they can reveal what’s going on. Also, when it comes to Marvel Studios, they like to keep things very secret until the very last second. Sometimes things slip out. Actors make mistakes, and sometimes, outlets such as ours get some cool scoops.

Case in point, we were told back in January that Cavill was deep in Superman negotiations with Warner Bros. Pictures. It seems as though those talks eventually worked out between the two parties, and we are so happy that they did. It looks like Cavill is back as Superman, and in a big way. We were told recently that Cavill wants to be a producer on the upcoming Superman DC Studios movie. It also seems as though he wants to be a producer on all Superman-related movies on the big screen in the future.
