Henry Cavill’s Geralt Is Riding His Horse Roach In This New Image From The Witcher

There is a new image from Netflix’s The Witcher in which Henry Cavill’s Geralt is riding his trusty steed, Roach. Check it out here.

It was quite big news when Netflix announced that Henry Cavill would be playing Geralt in The Witcher series they were developing.

The gamers among you would be very familiar with The Witcher, and some comic book readers would have either heard of or read the original books the game was based on.

It’s since been revealed that Cavill’s Geralt will be more like the one from the books rather than the game, who’s quite a lot gruffer and edgier.

However, one thing that will be the same in Geralt’s horse, Roach, who’s also going to be included in the series, and we’ve had our first look at him.

Netflix has just released a picture of Geralt on top of his horse in a rather regal manner. It really does look very cool and should give us a taste of what sort of tone the series will have.

Here’s the official synopsis of the Netflix TV series: “Based on the best-selling fantasy series of books, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts.

“But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.”

The Witcher TV series will be at San Diego Comic-Con later this week, and there’ll be a panel in Hall H which fans won’t want to miss out on.

The panel will include some of the stars of the show, namely Cavill, Anya Chalotra, and Freya Allan, and they’ll be alongside showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich.
