Henry Cavill has revealed how his Superman cameo in Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam movie actually ended up happening, and it sounds like it was a pretty interesting process. Cavill revealed this during an interview with Josh Horowitz’s podcast, Happy Sad Confused. You can check out what he had to say about the whole process below.
So, spoiler alert, Henry Cavill is back as Superman, just in case you didn’t know. He turns up at the end of Black Adam in a post-credits scene as the Man Of Steel, which was brilliant. I have always been hopeful that we might get to see him back in the cape, and it’s happening. It’s been revealed that we’re going to be seeing a lot more of his take on Superman on the big screen.

Here’s what Henry Cavill had to say about coming back to play Superman in Black Adam and in the future:
The character means so much to me. It’s been five years now. I never gave up hope. It’s amazing to be here now talking about it again. There is such a bright future ahead for the character. I’m so excited to tell a story with an enormously joyful Superman.
Cavill then continued:
I went to Warner Bros.’ studio in the UK and got back in the suit, on a super secret set, all whispers and all capes and everything hidden, and got back I the suit. It was a very powerful moment for me. I wasn’t sure how I would feel whether it would be something very emotionally connective because I put the Man of Steel suit back on.

Cavill then went on to explain why he chose the Man Of Steel suit:
I chose that one in particular because of the nostalgia attached to the suit. It was important for me to be standing there and enjoying that moment. That is one of the top moments in my career. It feels great to have the opportunity to wear it again.
Cavill then went on to explain how he’d been feeling during the time that he wasn’t playing Superman. He said:
I told myself I’m gonna let it sit and simmer in the background. I never lost hope, that was the key for me.
Josh then asked about the status of his new Superman movie, and if there are any writers and directors tied to the project, Cavill responded: “You know I can’t tell you that.”
So, Cavill’s back as Superman and all is right with the world. We’ve already been told that he’s going to be starring in his own solo Superman movie. We were informed that Brainiac would be coming to the DC Universe, and it was then revealed that he would be the main villain in the upcoming standalone Superman film.
You can watch Black Adam in cinemas worldwide right now.
