It’s been revealed that Henry Cavill is going to be appearing as Superman in the upcoming Shazam 2, aka Shazam: Fury Of The Gods. This comes from The Hashtag Show and now many other sites are also running with this news.
This is something that quite a few people have been saying will happen for a while now. I remember that Lords Of The Long Box said this would happen in one of their shows.
Anyway, That Hashtag Show is now saying that it’s official. According to them, Shazam 2, or Shazam: Fury Of The Gods will feature Henry Cavill as Superman, which is pretty darn exciting if you ask me.

I’ve said this time and time again, I think Henry Cavill is a great Superman. He’s just not been in the best movies, which is a shame.
Cavill’s been let down by some rather poor movies since being cast as Superman in the DCEU. Man Of Steel wasn’t terrible, yet Batman V Superman and Justice League weren’t very good, and the film’s take on Superman was, well, uninspired.
Again, that’s not Cavill’s fault. That’s just poor writing, and Zack Snyder not really understanding Superman. I’m pretty hopeful that someone like David F. Sandberg will understand the character better. I really enjoyed his first Shazam movie, and that film actually featured a Superman cameo of sorts.
