It’s now being rumoured that HBO Max is working on a new Swamp Thing series which is something we revealed a while back. This rumour comes to us from Daniel Richtman over on his Patreon page.
The Swamp Thing series has had an interesting, if a little short history. It aired for one season and then got cancelled even though the show was pretty good.
When it was cancelled, people were wondering whether the show would end up coming back, potentially on HBO Max. We were told a few months ago that HBO Max was indeed in the process of developing a new Swamp Thing series.

Now, we’re hearing from Daniel Richtman that HBO Max is working on a Swamp Thing series, so it seems as though he’s also getting the same information that we got.
He doesn’t seem to offer any new information on this series. There’s no potential release date and he doesn’t reveal whether the show will be made by J.J. Abram’s Bad Robot company.
Abrams’ company are working on a Justice League Dark series and it was also revealed that they are making a Constantine solo series. Therefore, it makes sense for them to be developing a Swamp Thing show since he is an important part of the Justice League Dark.
