Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special’s very first trailer was released yesterday, and it revealed that the Disney Plus Marvel Studios special will introduce the real-life Kevin Bacon into the MCU. This is something that I really wasn’t expecting to see in the upcoming Holiday Special.
The trailer really won me over. To be honest, I didn’t really know what to expect from this upcoming Holiday Special on Disney Plus before watching the trailer. I really liked the fact that it is directed by James Gunn, who also wrote the special’s script. However, this trailer demonstrated that it’s going to be something different from what we’ve seen in the MCU so far.
There does seem to be an element of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off in the special. That said, there was a lot of that movie in Spider-Man: Homecoming. However, it seems like the Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special is going to turn it up to eleven.
Kevin Bacon is coming to the MCU in the Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special

This will be the second Marvel Studios Special Presentation in the Marvel Cinematic Univers after Werewolf By Night. The special will follow the Guardians of the Galaxy as they celebrate Christmas and search for a present for their leader Peter Quill (played by Chris Pratt).
The special is going to see the likes of Pratt (Quill), Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, Michael Rooker, and Zoe Saldaña all reprise their roles as the Guardians from previous MCU movies. It also adds Kevin Bacon and Maria Bakalova. Bacon will be playing himself in the special, and Bakalova, who was last seen in Borat 2, is going to be the voice of Cosmo the dog.

Gunn had worked on the concept for the special for several years before it was announced back in December 2020. Filming took place from February to late April 2022 in Atlanta, Georgia and Los Angeles, during the production of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is going to be released on Disney Plus on November 25, 2022. This holiday special will also conclude the MCU’s Phase Four.
