It’s been revealed that the classic N64 video game, GoldenEye 007, is coming to modern consoles later this week, and it’ll be available on Nintendo Switch Online and Xbox Game Pass! This news was revealed in an announcement video that was shared on IGN’s YouTube channel.
The classic N64 game was a must-have for all owners of the console back in the end. Even though the game had its many quirks, people just couldn’t get enough of the glorious James Bond action.
However, the main reason why people loved the game so much was because of its split-screen co-op play. The multiplayer was amazing and resulted in people having hours of fun shooting one another n very blocky surroundings.
Also, anyone who ended up picking Oddjob in the game was a cheater! If you played the multiplayer mode a lot, then you’ll understand why.
GoldenEye 007 will be available on Xbox Game Pass from January 27th

It was announced last year that the game would be arriving on the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service, but there would also be an updated and remastered version of the classic title available on Xbox Game Pass.
This news sent fans wild! I was thrilled to hear that I’ll get to play GoldenEye 007 on my Xbox Series X! It’ll be a great party game, and I’m already purchasing new Xbox controllers and have pencilled in a date to invite my mates around so that we can play the multiplayer over and over again.
We are now over 25 years from its initial release, and the game still holds a special place in many people’s hearts. Moreover, GoldenEye 007 will now be playable in 4K resolution (with an improved frame rate), complete with achievements and split-screen co-op play.

Since the announcement last September, we’ve not really known when the title was going to be re-released. However, earlier this month, a leaker claimed that it would be arriving by the end of January. Well, this leaker turned out to be completely correct.
Rare has now confirmed that the game will be arriving on both Game Pass and the Switch Online service on January 27th (tomorrow).
“Mark your calendars: GoldenEye 007 is set to launch on Xbox Game Pass on 27 January! The countdown begins now – only two days until you get to experience Dam with an Xbox controller for the first time,” the studio tweeted.
