Fans of the American comedy-drama series Ginny and Georgia celebrate as Netflix renewed the show for Seasons 3 and 4 as officially announced. Unlike other original series of the streaming giant, the complicated lives of mother, daughter, and son gets to continue their story.
Most likely picking up where Season 2 left off when Georgia herself got apprehended by the police on her wedding day, no less.
Starring Brianne Howey as Georgia Miller, Antonia Gentry as Ginny Miller and Diesel La Torraca as Austin Miller. Their small family moving to Massachusetts meant to start afresh after Georgia’s husband died of a heart attack.
Two seasons in and secrets get revealed from Georgia’s past. Meanwhile, her daughter Ginny and son Austin navigate their respective world composed of peer pressure as well as realizations of what kind of a person their mother really is.
Season 2 ended with Georgia having to face charges of murdering her husband. All the while, Ginny and Austin tackle their own problems threatening their mental health. Much like their mother, who happens to have so much baggage she needs to unpack, the two kids seem to be collecting some of their own at such tender years.

Netflix officially announces that the series Ginny & Georgia will be getting seasons 3 and 4. Viewers will finally learn what is to become of the unconventional family when Netflix renews the series not just for one but two new seasons. They have not, however, disclosed whether the fourth season will be the last we will of the Millers.
The cast of characters will return for the follow-up seasons and will possibly introduce new ones. Questions as to how Georgia will pull herself out of the situation she got herself into, whether Ginny will face her own fears and finally allow herself some confidence to take on the world and whether Austin coming to terms with what he has just become a witness of, will all be answered.
Quite possibly, more questions will also be raised. Series creator Sarah Lampert declared:
When we had to develop the storyline for Season 2, we knew exactly what we wanted Season 3 to be. Georgia needed to kill someone and she needed to kill someone in Wellsbury, Massachusetts.
Knowing Georgia, the act will most likely be to ultimately protect and ensure her family’s safety. Meaning, if anything poses to threaten the security and happiness of her daughter and son, she will go to great lengths to ensure it doesn’t happen even if it meant breaking the law and this time, ending someone’s life.
Also, ending another’s life in favour of a comfortable life for her and her kids isn’t exactly new for Georgia. What’s curious now is how she will weave herself out of the situation and reunite with her kids. How will she face her new husband, who is actually the new mayor of their town?
Definitely, some scandalous and reputation-shattering news will affect the image of their family. Still, as seasons 3 and 4 will soon stream, one can only assume Georgia will still be able to be triumphant above it all together with Ginny and Austin.

With 31 reviews from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, Ginny and Georgia has a 68% rating on the Tomatometer and a 69% Audience Score from over 2,500 ratings. A comment from Norman Wilner of NOW Toronto stated:
Howey and Gentry are great both together and separately, the show’s twisting plots are addictive and soapy without being too implausible, and there’s a thoughtfulness in its approach to issues of race, sexuality and parenting. I kinda loved it.
While Doreen St. Felix of the New Yorker posted:
The body of the series is a bantery young-adult soap, the head a woman-on-the-edge thriller, and the tail a race melodrama. The creator, Sarah Lampert, must have looked upon her handiwork with proud amusement.
Given that the series tackles controversial issues, it’s also not a stranger to backlash and negative feedback. Still, the series pushes forward, hopefully reflecting how certain points of view are addressed these days.
