Frances McDormand could be in line to appear in the sequel to Eternals, according to director Chloé Zhao.
In an interview with Yahoo, Zhao teased that McDormand would potentially be up for appearing in a sequel to Eternals,
Zhao and McDormand worked together on Nomadland, which scooped numerous Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actress.

When asked by Yahoo’s Kebin Polowy, Zhao said McDormand would want to be a part of the film:
I think she wants to. I think she’s open to it. Yeah, I think she’s open to it. I think she wants to do something really fun. I think she would want to do something unexpected because that’s Fran. She’s always challenging herself.
If a sequel to Eternals were to happen, we would love to see McDormand reunite with Zhao on the film, especially given their success with Nomadland.
As well as Nomadland, McDormand has won Oscars for Fargo and Three Billboards Outside Epping, Missouri.
She’s a phenomenal talent, and we hope it becomes a reality.
Eternals is in cinemas on November 5.
