A blurry photo has started circulating on the internet giving us a possible first look at Namor the Submariner for Black Panther 2.
There has been some concern about who would take up T’Challa’s Black Panther mantle after the sudden passing of Chadwick Boseman and it looks like the Marvel Cinematic Universe has an idea about the issue.
There have been hints for years in previous Marvel films about a new character entering into the MCU. That character happens to be Namor the Submariner. However, there is no real confirmation from Marvel Studios.
The blurry image circulating across the internet looks almost exactly like the comic book depiction of the Submariner. Complete with the wings on the ankles and some added modifications that are pretty hard to identify. Tencoh Huerta, who is a Mexican actor, is rumoured to be filling the role of the iconic character.

Keep in mind, little to nothing has actually been confirmed for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. So, everything is pretty much speculation at this point. One thing we do know for sure is that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is planned to be released on November 11th 2022.
The Black Panther cast and crew plan to honour Chadwick Boseman in the second film after the Black Panther star passed away from battling colon cancer back in 2020. It was decided that T’Challa would not be recast.
It’s being said that Shuri (played by Letitia Wright) may be taking up T’Challa’s role as the Black Panther.
That is even more speculation and has not been confirmed by Marvel. Especially given the negative press Letitia Wright has been getting for posts about controversial comments made to the public about her views.

Speaking with Variety, Letitia Wright stated:
It is an incredible honor for Chadwick Boseman, it’s jam packed with exciting stuff, We honored him by committing ourselves to the story that he started, the legacy that he started with this franchise, and we just committed every day to working hard, no matter what circumstances we faced — and we faced a lot of circumstances, a lot of difficult situations — but we came together as a team, and we poured everything into this movie, so I’m excited for you to see it.
Letitia Wright also stated:
I’ve learned that in life, you just have to keep going strong with what you believe in, in terms of your talent, in terms of your desire to impact the world with your art, and that’s exactly what I’m doing and I’m so proud of myself and the movie that’s coming out this year. I’m so proud of it.
It is extremely heart warming to see that Chadwick Boseman is being honoured in such a profound and beautiful way. Not having the role of T’Challa be recast is more then just a gesture for the fans, but for the Boseman family. He will forever be immortalized in his character.
Do you think the blurry picture is real? Do you feel like Chadwick Boseman is being honoured by Marvel not recasting T’Challa? Do you think the next Black Panther will be Shuri?
