First Look At Lady Gaga As Harley Quinn In Joker 2 Revealed

We’ve finally got our first look at Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn in the upcoming Joker 2 (Joker: Folie A Deux) movie, which is being filmed as we speak in Newark, New Jersey. I have to say that she really does look the part.

This movie is being directed by Todd Philipps, who also wrote the movie’s screenplay. He wrote and directed the first Joker movie, which starred Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck. He’s going to be back as Arthur in Joker: Folie A Deux.

It seems as though Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn is going to be a very important character in this upcoming DC sequel, which I am very much happy about. After seeing these new set photos of Lady Gaga in character, I really have to say that I think she’s the perfect Harley for Arhtur’s Joker.

These new set photos which show Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn – via MissMovies on Facebook – are really something to behold. It seems as though they have been able to capture the essence of the character, yet they have also been able to make it very clear that this character is in the same universe as Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck.

You can tell that this version of Harley hasn’t ended up jumping into a vat of chemicals at an ACE Chemicals warehouse in Gotham, and I like that. We’ve already got that version of the character in Margot Robbie’s DC Comics movies.

Don’t get me wrong. I think that Robbie is also perfect in the role. But you can have two brilliant yet different versions of the same character. I don’t think that’s a problem whatsoever.

This all comes after we got to see some other set photos from Joker 2. These set photos showed that part of the movie will be set at Arkham Aslyum and it seems as thought Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck will end up setting the whole place on fire, which is a very ‘Joker’ thing to do!

I cannot wait too what will unfold in this movie. DC Studios’ new co-CEO, James Gunn, recently revealed that Todd Philipps’ Joker 2 movie and Matt Reeves’s The Batman movies are ‘Elseworlds’ films, which means that they take place in an alternate universe to Gunn’s DC Universe.

That, to me, makes a lot of sense and should help cinemagoers differenciate between the different DC Studios movies. So, they shouldn’t start thinking that they’ll get to see Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker, Robert Pattinson’s Batman, Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn, Ezra Miller’s Flash, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and so on in the same movie, because the characters are opperating in different universes.

It was revealed that Todd Philipps’s Joker: Folie A Deux is going to be released in cinemas in the United States and in the United Kingdom on October 4th, 2024. Are you looking forward to watching the movie? I know I am!
