We’ve been given our first look at Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop in the upcoming Hawkeye Marvel series which is coming to Disney Plus. This was revealed yesterday via a plethora of different sources.
Murphy’s Multiverse claimed that it was their ‘exclusive’, however, the news that Hailee Steinfeld was going to be playing the character did actually come from Geekosity’s Mikey Sutton. There were also other videos on Twitter that turned up before Murphy’s Multiverse got his hands on it.
I’ve managed to trace back the very first sighting of Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop of the set of Hawkeye to a Twitter user called HaileeMoonlight. They posted the very first video of her, as far as I can tell. But, honestly, who cares…?
All I care about is the fact that Steinfeld is actually playing the character. It was revealed a while back that she had been cast in the role. However, it was then suggested that she had been forced to leave the project due to a rather silly contract issue.

Hailee Steinfeld is also in a show called Dickinson and it was revealed that her contract for that show which is an Apple TV+ exclusive has a non-compete clause in it. However, it seems as though Apple and Disney managed to sort things out, and now she’s starring in both shows, which is brilliant news for both Steinfeld and us, the fans.
Steinfeld is perfect for the role of Kate Bishop, and clearly both Marvel Studios and Disney thought so as well. They wouldn’t have gone to the lengths they did to make sure she was cast in the role if they didn’t think she was the perfect person to play Kate Bishop.
She’s now filming scenes for the show along with Jeremy Renner and a very cute golden retriever – who is playing Lucky the Pizza dog, a character from the comics.
