Fast and Furious 8’s First Trailer Is Bonkers

Fast and Furious 8’s trailer (a.k.a The Fate of the Furious) has crashed its way onto the Internet, literally, and it teases the most insane Fast and Furious movie we’ve ever seen! Check it out below.

After Fast and Furious 7 many fans of the franchise, including myself, felt that the cars should be left in the garage to be serviced. It was an incredible spectacle of a blockbuster and was a fitting sendoff for Paul Walker who sadly passed away before the film was released. I was in floods of tears whilst watching the film and really believed that it should stop there. But Vin Diesel and Universal Pictures obviously thought otherwise and we now have the trailer for Fast and Furious 8, otherwise known as The Fate of the Furious.

I’ve been waiting for this. We got a tank!

This will be the eighth film in the Fast franchise, which has done an amazing job at keeping itself fresh and relevant. These movies still make an incredible amount of money, and considering there have now been seven films, it’s quite an achievement. Judging by Fast 8’s trailer, rather bizarrely called The Fate of the Furious, this movie will turn things on its head slightly.

We all know that Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto cares about “family” more than anything else in the world, but this movie sees him going against his beloved team. It seems like Charlize Theron’s Cipher will have something to do with this. Has he been brainwashed? Is this version of Dominic a clone? The Fast movies have delved into similar areas before, so I could easily see something along these lines happening in The Fate of the Furious.

Kurt Russell is back as Mr. Nobody

“We’re gonna need a bigger truck!”

The trailer shows the insane high-octane action we’ve come to expect from the Fast films, but what pleased me the most was to see the return of one of my favourite actors of all time, Kurt Russell, as the covert ops leader, Mr. Nobody (great name). Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is also back and it seems as if he’ll take the lead from Toretto once he goes rogue. It’ll also see the return of Jason Statham, who’s always worth watching. I can’t wait to find out what on earth is going on in The Fate of the Furious. I just hope that they don’t tarnish the great work done by Paul Walker.

The Fate of the Furious will be in cinemas in the UK on April 14th, 2017.
