Fans have mistaken an actual Capital One ad featuring Samuel L. Jackson as an ad from WandaVision, and to be honest, we almost fell for it too. This ad was for Captial One’s Quicksilver card, so it’s easy to understand why people got excited about it.
The ad featured Samuel L. Jackson talking about Captial One’s Quicksilver card and people thought that it could have been another one of those commercials that pop up in the Marvel Studios TV show on Disney Plus. However, it had been edited by someone on social media in such a way to make people believe that was really in WandaVision.
That was really sneaky of that person, and I saw a lot of people getting very excited on Twitter thinking that Nick Fury was going to be turning up in the show. He still might be, however, it will not be in this Captial One commercial.
That Nick Fury Captial One WandaVision commercial was a fake!
So one of the commercials in this week’s #WandaVision has been leak. It’s great to see @SamuelLJackson again. #NickFury @wandavision #Dilaurentis29 pic.twitter.com/VVkM6H5BGQ

There were some telling signs in the ad that this wasn’t part of the MCU. First off, Samuel L. Jackson had no eye-patch, which is a pretty big clue. That said, things have been pretty strange in WandaVision so far, and this could have very easily been one of those odd moments in the show.
It’s a shame to find out that this ad was just taken by a fan of the show and edited in a way to make it look ‘retro’. The person had made the film deliberately grainy and make it look like it was recorded off an old television as they do sometimes in the show.
There have been other rumours suggesting that other MCU characters might appear in the show. There has been speculation that Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange will make an appearance in the series, which would be pretty fun. We’ll have to wait and see what happens in WandaVision, which isn’t an easy series to predict, and that’s great!
