Many believe this step is to mitigate the effect of their actions on the upcoming DC movie. The Flash runs into theatres this June 16. Years of development, production and post-production really tested the movie. So many times in the past, the studio moved the movie’s premiere.

Apart from the executive aspects of the production and the eventual transition of management, The Flash underwent so many changes in its script and story. Some say that the movie is now actually worth two or maybe three movies in terms of budget, changes in the script and the like. There are even shoots that were quickly added in only to be removed again after a few months.

You know which ones we are talking about. On top of it, all is the yearly trip of Ezra Miller to the international headlines for all the unfavourable reasons.

Despite it all, Warner Bros still kept them on board the project. That in itself incited quite a level of outrage and disappointment among fans. How could WB keep him and drop the others?

The Flash has cost the company so much that they have no choice but to release it. But even with that reasoning, people still only need to look at what happened to Batgirl to once again shake their heads in dismay.

After all of these, one thing remains clear: Warner Bros Discovery believes that the movie is truly good. So much so that they are placing their bets on getting it in the theatres. What remains is to at least show the audiences that Ezra Miller means to get his s…tuff… stuff together.

True enough, in the past months, especially in the second half of 2022, reports about the actor being professional have been more frequent.

So far, as Miller pleads guilty to the charges he faced last October, they are showing the world that they are really meaning to overcome their complex mental issues. That they are on the path to a healthier and more productive life.

As they have stated before:

I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior.

I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.

As an actor, they have displayed good acting skills. No two portrayals from previous projects are the same. They even have had a hand at writing screenplays. Even seasoned writer Grant Morrison had a lot of good things to say about them.

For whatever is happening, Miller is demonstrating that they are preparing to face the consequences of their actions. We hope they continue this path to wellness for their own sake and the safety of those around them.

Nevertheless, they have a lot of work to do as online reactions are still not leaning to their side. Maybe, after the movie proves how great a story it is, then we will see.

The Flash arrives in theatres on June 16, 2022.
