Extraction 2 is officially in the works at Netflix and it’s been revealed that Joe Russo will write the film’s script which is great news.
The movie recently dropped on Netflix and it’s turned out to be one of the streaming platforms biggest movie premieres ever.
The film starred Chris Hemsworth as Tyler Rake and was directed by Sam Hargrave.
It was produced by the Russo Brothers and written by Joe Russo.
It turns out that Netflix has given Extraction 2 the greenlight and Joe Russo will be writing the film’s script.
That’s great news because the first movie was a genuinely good action movie.
The film has some of the best action sequences I’ve ever seen and I can’t wait to see what they’ll do in the sequel.

Talking to Deadline about the upcoming Extraction sequel, here’s what Joe Russo had to say:
The deal is closed for me to write Extraction 2, and we are in the formative stages of what the story can be. We’re not committing yet to whether that story goes forward, or backward in time. We left a big loose ending that leaves question marks for the audience.
Russo revealed that he expects director Sam Hargrave to return to helm the sequel.
However, Hemsworth hasn’t officially signed on.
It’s been reported that they want to get a script written first and then show it to the Aussie actor.
